Monsoon Newsletter continued...

In the middle of the lake where we were boating is this small island. 
I think it's so lovely! 
I love the Buddha statue peering out the window. 
You can tell it's true size by comparing it to the people standing near the trunk of the tree. 

Here's one of my favorite sights in
Colombo-- a new billboard that seems to be advertising nothing in particular! 

It's placement next to the biggest department store in town makes it obvious,  though I've been inside several times and have not seen the likes of him. 

Compare him to Bollywood film stars and you may see why I find him so refreshing.
